When we were in high school, we used to get together for slumber parties a lot, especially for our birthdays. We all were born the same year (1947), so when we turned 40 we had a big birthday bash for our families at one of the gal's summer rental on the lake. We gals went the night before for an old fashioned slumber party; we even went skinny dipping; our hubbys brought up the kids on Saturday for a picnic & swimming. It was a great time! When we turned 50, we spent the day together at Lake Geneva, Wisc., where one of us lives. We went sightseeing on the lake and we all tried parasailing. I never thought I'd do that, I'm not much for heights, but it was really fun. The temp was about 95; I even have pictures. Of course that was about 60 lbs. ago. God knows what we'll do at 60?!! Most of them live in the Chicago area; one is in Ohio, and I'm in GA. Sure hope to see them sometime this summer. Thanks for the memories!
