I know how excellent it is for the month and year long patients, but I wonder about the person who had it done yearas ago - whats the weight stay at? Do you gain? I have hearda stories of that - but it was the old kind of surgery! Thanks for info!!! L. >>
Guest guest
Hi!! I will be 6 mo post op on July 10th. I now weigh 155 lbs and I weighed 242 at surgery on Jan 10, 2000. I no longer have to wear that ol C Pap machine mask on my face at night like I have for almost 10 years, so that in itself is like a miracle. I no longer have to wear a pad for my urinary incontence/ no leakage now at all!!! Another huge miracle. I have no reflux/ no pain from pressure on joints/ no edema/ I look 10 years younger/ I can breathe and move and do things instead of sit in a chair most of the time. I'd say I've made a lot of progress!!!?? I have had a problem with depression but am now taking Effexor and it is helping a lot. It was hard to accept that I had depression when so many many good things have happened to me, but I finally came around to calling a spade a spade. Depression is something not to be fooled around with, I have learned for sure. from Missouri age 56 on July 19th/ when dear Joyce will have her surgery!!! Love to you Joyce and your other litter mates!!!!

Guest guest
You have no idea how happy your little missive makes me!!! I will be 56 on Aug 14, weigh 250, and would love to weigh 155!!! Good job!! I assume you stuck strictly to the doctors orders post op to have lost that much in 6 mos! Do you notice that you are not firming up as much as you might have at 30? Of course, I would rather be flabby than fat but still. Thanks for writing and again, congratulations!! Joanne in Ohio Deckbound@... wrote: > Hi!! I will be 6 mo post op on July 10th.
