Guest guest
> I'm baffled as to how these sites intend to win our affections when > they can't even list the ingredients! I completely agree, , except even with ingredients I still wouldn't give many in the cosmetics and skin care industry my affections. I believe ingredients aren't listed because: -it would reveal that the " magic potion " is anything but -it would reveal that the high cost is not justified and most important: - it would reveal just how many potential irritants are present in their advertised " sensitive skin " or " for rosaceans " products Marjorie Marjorie Lazoff, MD
Guest guest
Yes, I agree with Marjorie's statement too. A few months ago, I wanted to check out the ingredients in an Estee Lauder foundation. I went to both Macy's and Nordstrom's (I didn't go to Saks or Neiman Marcus which also carry the line in my town. I don't know how their salespeople are.), and I had to insist quite strongly to look at the ingredients for a couple of the foundations. They didn't want me to look and were hovering all over me asking if the ingredients were ok. I think they were trying to make a quick sale, and also prevent shoplifting. It's such a pain to deal with department store cosmetic counters when you have rosacea. I try to check out the ingredient list at sephora.com or beauty.com or email the company directly. I even go to the Sephora in my town to see ingredients that aren't listed at their website. Unfortunately, all lines don't list their ingredients at the website.
