Guest guest
KAREN THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY. NO SURE ABOUT THE POWDER YOU TALKED ABOUT. MARY CANNOT TAKE ANY DAIRY. TO ADD TO HER PROBLEMS, SHE HAS TWO METAL ROD FRON THE BASE OF HER SKULL ALL THE WAY DOWN HER BACK. WE ARE LOOKING INTO SHE SOME NEW DOCS THIS WEEK, BUT THIS IS A REAL MESS. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR REPLY AND CONCERN. MAY YOU HAVE A PAIN FREE DAY. BEAR > Bear, > I don't know for sure if she should take a protein supplement. I do take one now but I had a gastric bypass (weight loss surgery) in December when I thought all my panc troubles had ended. Anyway, I've tried tons of protein powders and they are not cheap. The only one I can tolerate is Optimum 100% Whey double chocolate. One scoop has 22 grams of protein. It has very little sugar and carbs. I use about 1 1/2 scoops of powder with about 4 oz milk and 4 oz ice cubes. However, some like it fine just mixed with water. There may be different protein supplements better for pancreatitis patients. Just thought I'd tell you about the one I found that actually tastes good. > > Geez, 54 lbs since August is quiet a lot. I was worried about 6 lbs in 3 days. Guess I am being silly! Don't know anything about losing height as I've not been measured. > > Please know you and your wife are in my prayers. > > W > HIEGHT & POUNDS LOST? > > > HELLO TO EVERYONE.
