Guest guest
I want to thank everybody who gave me instructions on how to use a spaghetti squash. When I cut the squash open, I thought that I had bought a mislabeled squash because I didn't see any strings. I cooked it anyway - what else could I do? Then I remembered one of the people had said that it comes out in strings after it is cooked. They were right - it did! My kids were surprisingly receptive to trying the spaghetti squash. I covered it with my homemade spaghetti sauce that had meat in it, so they liked it. Afterwards, one daughter (my more adventurous eater) went over and scraped out the rest of the spaghetti squash from the shell and ate it just plain! I am in total shock because as a kid one of the worst foods that my mom could make was squash! Wouldn't my mom have been amused to see me serving squash to my kids and see them enjoying it! Carolyn p.s. I cooked the spaghetti sauce in the crockpot without the lid. That way the tomato juice could cook down but I didn't have to watch over it or worry about it burning.
