Tammy,

I hope I didn't offend you as that was ~far~ from my intent - but I

sincerely apologise if I did.

No, isn't in school yet - but she will attend a public school when

she starts next fall.

I agree with you - I would be so grateful and appreciative if was

~healthy~. I hate that Brittany has to deal with the issues that have been

given to her.

Anyway - the next time a mom fires off with a ~petty~ complaint - put her

in her place - tell her to be thankful for what she has - it ~always~ could

be worse. Maybe it will shut her up for a while. ; )

Take care-

, I wasn't going to response, but I think I will. Does your daughter

attend public school yet? My daughter is legally blind, she wears thick

glasses, and can still only see about 2 feet in front of her, so yes I

know how " those other moms feel " Brittany is also the size of a 4 year

old, she'll be 9 next month. In Kindergarden she was throwing away her

meds. because the kids made fun of her, and those would be the " healthy

ones " . So yes I get very angry at the PETTY! things these moms complain

about, I have a right! I am glad my daughter doesn't use a wheelchair, I

am thankful for that, I would also be very grateful if she was healthy! I

just find it selfish for moms to complain about petty BS when their child

is in a public school, if they are so concerned about keeping their kids

" save and pain free " they put them in a private school, or homeschool

them!( or in a bubble, the was this world is!)

Parents will be parents. Regardless how petty it seems to us, they want

their child to be safe and free from pain - the same as us. Maybe a parent

who has a child who is confined to a wheelchair, can't speak and can't use

the bathroom on their own would say the same thing to us - " Live one day at

my house " .

Also - keep in mind how blessed we are. My daughter can see me, she can

hear me, she can hug me and she can walk and talk with no limitation....you

get where I am going. Many do not have that luxury.

As for those who have healthy, happy children - good for them. May those

precious kiddos live to be a ripe old age with few issues in life.

Tammy,

Your so right. I also feel like this. They have no idea how lucky they

are. I work in a clinic and have actually lost it with a few parents

moaning that " ny hurt his toe, poor ny " . Get a life.

(Australia)

Makes my blood boil!

Good Grief! A parent at school, ranting and raving about her child

catching head lice! Lady, get the knits out with a comb, and your

problem is solved! SHUT-UP! Come to my house....for one day! See if you

complain about a knit again!

Am I insane? Are we the only parents that can see how petty other

parents are about head lice, broken arm, the flu! I wish that these

parents that walk with their noses pointing at the sky could wake up to

reality! Realize just how easy they have it! Just makes my blood boil!

Was I like that before Brittany was born? GOD! I hope not!

,

I actually agree with you also. Every parent has difficulties

regardless of how their child's health is. My best friend has

problems with her kids. The same ones I have with mine that are non

CF related. Just typical kids driving their overworked,

underappreciated and under supported moms crazy. I have never and

won't ever think to tell her to just be grateful her kids are

healthy. What she goes through is hard on her. She cries adn gets

angry and for HER it's hard. I don't judge her I just love her and

support her. Yes, my son is in school and I hear parents complain

about ignorant things too. It drives me crazy but what I feel worse

about is that those of us with " sick " kids are able to feel more

blessed than those with " perfect " kids. I don't get angry with them

for that, I feel sorry for them. My life growing up all of us kids

were " healthy " but the environment alcoholism and not so great. My

child may have CF but he's living in an environment that's much more

supportive.
