Sue, Would you mind sharing some lunch ideas, please? My son is

also six and in kindergarten. For the past year we have been doing

an SCD/BED combo, but I would say his biggest success was in the

beginning when we had attempted to do just straight SCD. I am

wanting to try strict SCD with him again. Our dev. ped just

prescribed three months of Diflucan for both of our children and I

want to make sure his diet is optimal so the Diflucan will work as

efficiently as possible. Lunches are what I am having the hardest

time with. Is Nori legal? He will eat a piece of turkey and

avacado wrapped in Nori, but he is pretty much tired of my usual

lunches.

Also, for anyone who may know, my daughter drinks an elemental

formula for her nutrition plus can tolerate/will eat corn and

potatoes. I took the corn and potatoes out a week and a half ago.

She is still drinking the formula, but the goal is to get her eating

enough fruits and veggies and meats that we could go SCD with her as

well and get rid of this expensive formula. Well, since Friday she

has been vomiting, really lethargic, running a very low grade temp.

and is sweating up a storm. She is just drenched in sweat. Her

ped. thinks it is a virus, but I am wondering if it could be yeast

die off. Any ideas? She did have two doses of Diflucan last week

as well.

Thanks,

tune. He is answering questions in class. He is doing well with his

school paperwork. He has been SCD for 1 month. He went through all

of the typical die offs (cranky, listlessness, lack of appetite,

etc.) They said he had auditory processing issues and poor working

memory. Hopefully this is just the beginning of a great school

career. We started down this road by removing foods with dyes, by

going GFCF, by doing Elisa food allergy testing. Each step showed

improvement, but nothing like this!

Sorry, but no , Nori (a seaweed) is not legal. How about using a

lettuce leaf instead.

It does sound like die off. How old is your daughter? How about

the formula in BTVC or yogurt smoothies. If over 1 year you could

give her the SCD multivitamin (1/2 tablet for 1-3 yrs old and 1

tablet for 4 and older) to ensure vits and minerals.
