Guest guest
Has anyone tried those bandanas that you soak in water that keep you cool? They are filled with granules that plump up when wet. When worn around your neck, it cools you off because it is on your major arteries (I think), thereby cooling off the blood that travels through your body. I've worn them in the summer in the past, and since recently diagnosed with cea, will be wearing one whenver it's a bit warm. They do help quite a bit. I thought of mentioning this when reading the post about washing arms with cool water instead of washing the face. I hope this can help someone. Guest guest
The bandana coolers can probably be found in most stores' sports or camping departments and shouldn't cost more than $10. Mine was given to me so I don't know what brand it is. I searched " cooler bandana " on the internet and came up with a lot of sites that sell them in many different patterns. If your neck (or forehead, since you can wear it around your head) is sensitive to certain fabrics, be sure to check what the bandana is made of.----------------------------------------------They are reusable and washable, but mine eventually got sort of a stale water smell that was hard to get rid of. I have one soaking right now and I'm going to wear it to see if I'll feel cooler while checking my emails.----------------------------
