Guest guest
, I am so happy for you! Good luck with your new job! Sorry I don't have any clothes to donate, but I am sure there are a lot of post ops who would love to see you wear them, at least for a little while! Guest guest
Hi, Everyone! Great news! I got a job!! I never heard back from my 2 interviews last week, but I faxed 3 resumes over the weekend, got 2 calls yesterday, had one interview this morning that went really well, and found out at 6:00 pm that " You (I) have the job. We'll see you Monday morning. " I'm so happy and excited. It's exactly in my field, FHA and VA Mortgage closings, and I'm going to be a Closing Supervisor. I've done the job before, but never had the title or the money. It's $3000/yr more than I was making in Chicago. 20 miles from home. Insurance is BC/BS, dental, vision, etc. No 401K yet, but they are planning on starting one soon, as they are expanding. I told them I need off 6/30 & 7/3 to fly to New Mexico for my daughter's wedding. They said " no problem " . Just one problem. I have nothing to wear--this is a professional place, dressier than where I worked before and I have gained those nasty 60 lbs. in the last 1-2 yrs. If anyone has any nice professional-type work clothes in size 30-32 they would like to donate to a good cause, please email me privately. I would really appreciate it. I'm going to have to go shopping anyway on Friday or Sat. for things to wear next week besides my interview outfit. Oh, well, this problem I can live with. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and interview tips. I guess my surgery plans are on hold for a little while until my new ins. goes in effect and I can get some time off to have the procedure. I'm glad all the recent surgeries have gone so well. By the time I get around to doing this, Dr. R will have it down to 10 or 15 min. and home the same day, I bet.
