Hello,

As for location of the redness after my photoderm sessions, it was the

places normally red (cheeks and nose for me). My first session he went

over my forehead as well and that was not red at all after the

treatment. (My forehead has never been a problem, but Ritchie said it

may become a problem.) I was noticably redder the evenings after

treatments, and the following day. I would say maybe 30% worse. This

went away after about 2 days, and was then followed by a couple weeks

of volatility within my normal redness range. As far as ice packs, I

used them after my second treatment (the Varia laser left me swollen,

which was gone by the next day) and the third treatment (I feared the

Dornier laser would make me swell, but it didn't). If it's just a

standard photoderm IPL treatment, you probably won't need an ice pack,

though the nurse will put creams on you.
