Guest guest
Dear Debbie; I'm so sorry to hear that you're having such a hard time and having to endure so much pain! I can only speak for myself, as I have seen Drs.Lehman & Sherman many, many times over the course of 7 yrs. I think that the only way that you're going to know for sure is to have an ERCP, and to know that Drs. Lehman & Sherman are the absolute best! (DRs. come from all over the world to learn their techniques) I had S.O.D. and subsequently(sp) had a sphinterotomy done 7 yrs ago. Unfortunately, I developed Chronic Panc.over the yrs of having Acute Panc after so many ERCP's. But....that's not the case for everyone! Remember that! Dr.Lehman once told me that I had the most sensitive panc. he had ever run across. Lucky me!! Lotsand lotsofpeople have ERCP's and NEVER get acute panc.! Well, that's my experience any how. Make the appt.Debbie! Don't suffer any longer, please! I pray you get an appt soon, and get a favorable dx. God's Blessings to you!! Let me know how you're doing, ok? Guest guest
In reference to your comment: I am having a dilema with my medical records from the family practice i saw in charleston university. Has anyone ever read the records. Boy what a reality check. These doctors write anything they want and it's there personal perception of you and the horrible thing is they don't even know you. I wrote this doctor a very lentghy email concerning all the doragatory statements they documented concerning my visits to the er. Thanks for letting me ramble on..... Hope not to long. I do not write very ofter just read the post. I have gotten somewhat better and are able to work now. But i still occasionally have these horrible pain attacks. With er visits. My CP is idiopatic. Thnaks, debbie g. Florida Dear Debbie, I haven't read all the posts yet, but has anyone suggested that you send a report to JACHO. This is an organization that you can register complaints, concerns, etc. regarding medical treatment. I am one of the lucky ones that has only had two primary doctors (the second one took over when my first doctor retired). This has been so great as both have always interacted with any specialists I have gone to. It makes me so mad when I read what some of you have to go through. Also, please feel free to post the good days, the bad days, or anything you want to share. It helps all of us to know we are not alone. Don't you just love the TV mom's that never have a bad day, or a headache on the day of an important meeting, and when their kids are bad they can calmly explain and resolve everything in a half hour. One more thing - it is important to keep your own copies of your medical records. I would summarize your ER visit without the unnecessary remarks - geesh, how can anyone who sees you for a few minutes " know " you! I hope you are having a painfree (or less painful) day, Gail West þ Many People, Many Faces, One Voice Indiana State Chapter Representative Pancreatitis Association International http://www.pancassociation.org contactPAIgwest@...
