Guest guest
Becki, Do you mean that they have done it while you are awake. No way would I let them do that to me let alone Eilish. (Australia) My Update...Bronched Well I got Bronched today...I have to say this time was a piece of cake...they sucked out a bucket full of crud from my lungs...I am wheezing and still junky but better. I'll see how I am in the morning. It was relief though b/c the last 2 that I had were horror stories. I was completely out and I made sure they knew I was too be unconscious the WHOLE time...LOL Becki Admin. Guest guest
Becki, So sorry your feeling awful. Are you on the tx list? I can imagine how scared and crappy you feel. I hope these last antibiotics do the trick for you. Keeping you in my thoughts (Australia) Hey Hey They bronched me to try to suction me out but I just filled right back up.That just stinks. I used to be able to bounce back after a few days in the hospital but now they say theres not much they can do.I have a week left of Zosyn and then I'll see how I feel.Ive had the chills so bad I literally just shake. Plus I lost a lot of weight this time. They were trying to shove supplements down my throat but I just couldn't eat...some of the nurses started bringing in food for me to eat.Home Made Soup and stuff. It pretty much sucks when they say there isn't much they can do and they will NEVER be able to clear my lungs again.Nothing left to work except new lungs. I can't talk to my family,Brad, or his family b/c I don't want to have them worry or make them sad. I can't tell them whats really going through my mind...how scard I am that I am not going to live to see a rip old age.I am so scard of Brad moving on without me. I have friends desperately waiting for TX. Sorry this is such a crappy letter. I just don't feel well. I need to up my celexa or something. On a lighter note my sis is getting married soon.Actually she's already married. They gave me a pass at the hospital so that I could see he go to the JP to get married last weekend. They got orders to Africa so they wanted to be sure they were married before they left. But the big wedding is still set for January 4th. We picked out the Brides Maids Dresses today....Very Pretty. Her dress is gorgous.Brendon is getting married in his dress blues. Anyways...Sorry this is so shitty...I'll write a cheerer one later...=) Becki
Guest guest
Becki, You certainly have every right to complain and feel down. I have no idea what you are going through so I won't pretend I do but I can imagine how hard it is for you. If you are normally not so complainy or pessimistic don't worry about it! That's why we are all here to listen to you and support you. I hope you can tell your family soon so you can get the support and hugs you need. Till then, here's a cyber hug for ya and I hope you are feeling better soon. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, Christy mom of Wyatt 7wcf and Hunter 2.5 wocf
Guest guest
Becki, Both you and your hubbyhave Cf? I wish him a quick recovery. (Australia) My Husband is Clubbing it By the way Brad's ( My husband who has CF) in the hospital....they finally admitted him.HE should have been admitted month ago but we'll not go there. He went from a lung function of 73% to 54% and lost 10 pounds...looks sooo tiny right now.Plus he was running a 101 fever.UNC Pulmonary STOPPED all direct admits. You either go to the ER or you wait until clinic day. He had an appt in CF clinic last week and we knew he needed to go in but the ice storm happened and so he had to wait another week to see the doc....GRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr UGHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...then he couldn't get a PICC LINE b/c they don't put PICC 's in on the weekends or after 3pm on Friday. It took them 12 hours to finally clean the room ! ! ! ! We waited for 2 hours b/c I told him NOT to go there when they told him too. I am so glad I have a new doc...I HATE that hospital ! ! ! So now he's getting Vancomycin and its literally eating up his veins....he had just a regular IV in right now until Monday when the IV team comes to put a PICC in. THis is not good b/c BRAD hates needles and is totally and completely allergic to any type of pain....=) Need I say...I love my port. His IV infiltrated and the ceftaz was leaking under his skin and it got super red and he got hives up and down that arm .....Things better change there b/c they are ticking off a bunch of people. It was good though to see the therapists and nurses who have taken care of me through the years. They knew after the last admission in Sept there I wouldn't be back. I kinda miss them....not the doctors though. The care I get at Wake in better. I am their youngest patient and their only Cf so they think Im the neatest thing since peanut butter and jelly was invented....They make me food so I'll eat and sit with me for hours and talk.Plus they sneak me in their offices to use the computer. Anyways....Bradley is in the hospital and I know he would love some cards....he gets jealose I have so many friends. His addy is : Bradley Snyder UNC HOSPITALS Patient Room 6302 Chapel Hill, NC 27599 Becki YOUR FAVORITE LilGooberGirl YOUNGLUNG EMAIL SUPPORT LIST www.topica.com/lists/younglung Pediatric Interstitial Lung Disease Society http://groups.yahoo.com/group/InterstitialLung_Kids/
Guest guest
Becki, Glad to hear Brad is out of hospital. I hope your cold goes quickly. You could always spray paint the oxygen machineLoL. (Australia) my update Hey everyone I hope everyone's Christmas went well and it was healthy or felt healthy. I did pretty good this Christmas. I got a talk and type Internet program, some clothes, a microcassette recorder, and money.Plus the best thing, Brad got me a cell phone.I also got the Internet program and the cassette recorder to help write a book. MY problems have been that I can't type as fast as I can think. The only problem is that the computer program has problems deciphering my raspy breathing and speech. I guess it's just going to have to get used to me. Christmas eve, we were on the way to my sisters, and we got a flat tire. It was pouring down rain, freezing cold, Brad had an IV in his arm so he couldn't change the tire. Thank God, it was in ville, so my sister could, changed tire for us. Needless to say I have a Cold now.I need to stay as well as possible, because the big wedding is January 4th. I really don't want to walk down the aisle with oxygen. It will not match my strapless silver dress. Well that fit for right now, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I should be online more because Brad is out of the hospital.
