Guest guest
I realize that what I am about to say might cause some great debate, but here goes. I have just had my first Vbeam treatment and I am very pleased. I waited a long time and did a lot of research about photoderm/pulse dye versus Vbeam, and I really recommend more people look into the Vbeam more seriously. I can not tell you how many accounts of negative photoderm results I have read within this support group. The Vbeam has been used on infants as young as a few weeks old. It has virtually no side effects, it has no down time, no prep and it is a lot cheaper than photoderm/pulse dyes. I am no expert and I am sure there are people that have not been completely happy with their results. The thing I find most compelling is that there seems so little risk involved, so even if it does not eradicate a persons condition, it will most likely not worsen it. I think that we all need to do what we think is best and it is soooo obvious that there is no ONE thing we can all do that will help us the way we want, but I urge people to look into the newer laser treatments that have become available. Dr. Nase has only good things to say about the Vbeam. It is no cure and it will require me to come in continually for maintenance, but they offer a little bit of a break in cost and some insurance co.'s will cover it, if the doctor involved will attempt to help you. Furthermore, there are many more doctors with the Vbeam than the photoderm. Again, I urge you all to look deeper into the newer treatments available. They are getting closer and closer to perfecting it, lets all hope that some day they do! I have a severe case, I can have a whole face of pustules to the point that I look like a leper, so I know more than most how debilitating this can be. I am extremely hopeful and I notice a difference already, in fact it helped to prevent a breakout. If you are in the support group I urge you to post the possible cures you may encounter rather than leaving the group once you find something that works. I don't know where I would be if this support group did not exist. Peace - Kern
Guest guest
Matt, where do you live. If you are within driving distance to Atlanta GA, I can recommend someone who is good. Guest guest
I see Dr. Ramsey Markus at Baylor College of Medicine in the Med Center off Fannin. He told me that he has a PDL, not sure if it is V- Beam or not. Regardless, I highly recommend him. Regards. > I too am looking for a Vbeam doctor.
