Guest guest
Hi Marie, I feel the same way you do....I'm afraid to eat anything except maybe applesauce. I'm 2 weeks post-op and I'm still on Juices, yogurt, soup, sugar-free jello & banana popsicles. I read that you can lose more (or faster) if you stay on the luquids (Stage 1) for 4 weeks, so I am going to try my best to do that. How about you? in Raleigh MGB 5/26 18.5 lbs lost as of 6/7 (yeah!) I guess I'm just a " big chicken " . I'm still measuring everything just to make sure I don't drink too much!! Wow Genz, I can't believe you can already eat a sandwich! That is great no wonder you didn't want to wait and be my littermate on Friday!!! LOL Glad you are home, Marie
Guest guest
Hey Marie and : I'm still doing the juice, yogurt, jello and popsicles routine. This morning I made potato salad and macaroni salad and I have chicken cooking for chicken salad. I cannot believe it is not bothering me. I love my potato salad (it's one of those foods that most of us are picky about; we all have a different idea of what is good) and I was not even a little tempted to taste it. Used to be I'd be steady tasting as I added vinegar, salt, etc. Now they can eat it and if they don't like it they don't have to eat it. LOL. I may have trouble passing up chicken salad; we'll see. Have any of you out there in MGB land continued to cook things you love for your families since MGB? Also....Do you guys think rice pudding would classify as a soft food? I'm about11 days post-op and I figured it would have some good nutrition with rice, eggs and milk and the way I make it it is very low in sugar? Any rice experience out there? Flo in land Re: Marie: FOOD!! >Hi Marie, >I feel the same way you do....I'm afraid to eat anything except maybe applesauce.
