Hi Fay,

> How soon in the diet can we start (lightly sauteed or steamed)

mushrooms?

Has his diarrhea stopped yet?

If his bm's are better you could try a little and see how it goes -

But, if he is still heavy into the flare it may be prudent to wait a

while longer. When the diarrhea stops then try a small amount

(mushrooms cooked til tender) and see how he does with it.

The french cut beans refers to the frozen beans - they are usually

smaller and more tender than the regular cut frozen beans. If you

can buy fresh beans they would be fine cooked or steamed until very

tender. These aren't the type of seeds you need to woory about.

Those seeds would e hard seeds like sesame seeds or pumpkin seeds.

Thanks. This is good news. So cooked seeds like zucchini are ok? Also, I

make my own pickles - a lazy pickle recipe using water, vinegar, salt,

dill seeds, garlic and small cucumbers. Are the cucumber seeds ok? I

probably wouldn't make them so soon - I don't know how it would come out

if the pickles were peeled.

As long as the seeds aren't too large- which happens in the really

big zucchini - which happens sometimes in my garden ;). Small

zucchini and their tiny seeds are fine.

Same idea - if the cucumber is not too big then the seeds will be

smaller and tender. But you have to go by your son's reaction. If

he is okay with it good. If he isn't then avoid a while longer.
