Commercial garlic and onion powder are illegal, since they have anticaking agents (illegal) added to keep them free flowing. You can make your own garlic and onion powder at home by dehydrating garlic and onion and grinding to a powder in a coffee grinder, blender or food processor (or mortar and pestle...). Guest guest
We were told that we would know in 3 weeks if this diet is going to work. We have been on it for 18 days now. The last 3 days have been pretty rough again. Do I need to start my counting over starting today? Could the amount I have been using these powders be affecting him this much or is it possibly from cleaning out? I have used one or both almost daily. How did I miss this? Guest guest
Can you tell us how you started the diet? Did you start with the intro diet (how many days)? Did you add foods slowly (one at at a time preferably)? Have you kept a food log charting behavior? What is he currently eating? Have you added anything new in the last few days? You mentioned possibilities of infractions at church. Are there other places where he could be getting foods he shouldn't have? Are you giving yogurt or probiotics yet? Guest guest
Well we started pretty much full force. I have been doing all my backing with almond or cashew flour. I didn't see the stuff about intro diet until we were into it for about a week and someone on this sight thought we were all right. No one has had any intestinal distress, we are just trying to get the emotional stuff undercontrol with our little guy. For the most part we have seen great improvement even the last few days. 2 weeks ago he was a walking volcano and it has not been near that bad. I don't think there has been any other place for infractions of what he eats as my kids are with me 24/7. We home school and right now the only outside activities are church. Our basic diet is Breakfast: Eggs or home made sausage with nut muffin, pancake or cookies, 1/2 and 1/2 orange or grape juice. Lunch is generally left overs. Supper is hamberg, chicken, steak, or roast with 2 or 3 different veggies. The kids have a snack mid morning afternoon and bedtime. It is generally for him baby carrots, an apple, apple sause, banana, or nut baked goods. I have been doing some of my baking with homemade goat yogart and he takes the GI Pro Health SCdophilus 3 times a day. He also take a product called Attention Gel/Ingredient Details: Marine Oil (DHA - Docosahexaonic Acid 250 mg, L-Tyrosine 20 mg, DMAE (Dimethylamine Ethanol Bitartrate)100 mg, PS (Phosphatidylserine from 100mg of Soy) 20 mg, Choline Bitartrate 100 mg, Inositol 100 mg, Grape Seed Extract 50 mg, L-Glutamine Acid 50 mg, Magnesium Chelate 50 mg, Vitamin B6 50 mg, Alpha Lipoic Acid 25 mg, Betaine 25 mg, Opuntia Streptacantha 20 mg, Vitamin E 15 IU, Gymnema Sylvestre Extract 5 mg, Folic Acid 800 mcg, Vitamin B12 200 mcg, Chromium Chelate 200 mcg and a product from Chembalance: Magnesium 133.4 Mg. Magnesium Carbonate, In a base containing deep nined dicalcium phosphate, potassium phosphate, postassium bicarbonate(total K-13.5 mg), sodium bicarbonate (1.3 mg sodium), special plant cellulose, vegetable stearates, karaya gum, magnesium stearate. Thanks for any help.
