The buccal (mouth) test IS a dna test, but usually only for 30-90 muta

tions, which is why if possible, so many are interested in the Ambry

test--there are 1005 mutations and some they are debating about, and

that was just as of yesterday!!!!

Thank you for clearing that up! I knew they told me the Buccal Smear

was a DNA test, but didnt understand the difference between the two.

On that note: today is Friday. THE Friday. The day the test results

should be in. After much procrastination, and not unitl I thought the

butterflies in my tummy could flutter no more, I bit the bullet and

called Pittsburgh. " Louise " , who is apparently my son's nurse, wont

be in until Monday, so I will have to wait until then. Ironicaly, we

will be in Pittsburgh on Monday for 's GI appt. She said we

could call first thing in the morning, or they would call us.

After the past 9 weeks, whats another 3 days???
