humidifier and air purifiers

We are moving my 18 month old son Ashton wcf to Wichita, Kansas. My

husband and son are fine with the dry air but I am constantly sick.

My throat is so dry I can't sleep and I get multiple sinus

infections. I was thinking of running a humidifer that we would

clean everyday in our bedroom only and then down the hall, our son

would have an air purifier in his room. Does anyone do this? Is

this a bad idea? Should we get a warm or cold humidifier??

Sick again--
