Upper EGD/Sprue/Celiac disease

I remember why the doctor wants to do the EGD now - she mentioned Sprue or

Celiac Disease - which I guess my symptoms do resemble also - malabsorption,

weight loss, fatigue, bloating - she did order bloodwork for it so I am not

sure why she wants to do the procedure also. Has anyone had the EGD done

also? Did it cause any problems (like an attack or more intense pain)? I also

have some other weird symptoms like bruising - I bruise all the time in weird

places like on my stomach, back, breast, for no reason and I have some type

of deficiency in my two thumb nails - they get dark blood like splinters in

them and are so rigid horizontally that you can scrape the nail right off (I

pointed this out to her). I know someting weird is going on. I did read

someplace that if the pancreas isn't producing lipase correctly that can

cause bruising.

I appreciate everyone's help on this list - too bad the doctors aren't on

here monitoring.
