Guest guest
What does " difficult to digest " actually mean? Does it mean a child will show symptoms? Be constipated? Have diarrhea? Irritate the GI tract, but eventually be digested? I'm sorry if this is a really silly question, but it's confusing me.

Here's an example: Illegal starches and sugars are difficult to digest if you have a gastric disease. Your gut may be damaged and the microvilli unable to process the food so it would not finish the digestion process and would ferment in the gut spawning many bad bacteria and overtaking the friendly gut bacteria.
