Any feedback???? How long have you been doing the diet? Is your son ASD, ADHD etc.? It helps if you sign your emails with this info. You could ask the pharmacist what fillers did he/she used? How were stools preSCD? How are they since starting the Nystatin? Have you tried epsom salt baths or/and activated charcoal - they often help with die off symptoms. Any other supplemnts/meds/chelating? Sheila, SCD 61 mos, UC 22 yrs mom of Em and
Guest guest
Hi Toni, > Sheila, As oer the question to whether we introduced anything new when he started to have stomach pains, the answer would be no,same diet although one day he went nuts on the monster cookies that had the required amount of honey in it. For some kids who are sensitive the first year can be pretty tricky - overdoing things can upset the balance while they are healing. You may want to pull back on the nut flour items(or avoid completely for a little while) until his stools are back to were they were. Since he was doing well when having the good stools it would seem to follow that his behaviours will " fall into line " once his stools do. >I usaully would only put a little of the required amount in. As for the active charcoal-never purchased before where do I buy it and any name brand i should keep in mind? Thanks Toni mom to Matteo 4 yrs ASD Scd Oct 2005 You should be able to buy it at your local pharmacy. What you want is plain activated charcoal no sugar as an ingredient, no particular brand.
