I'm not sure why he " won't touch you b/c of your pancreatitis " , but a sinus infection is a pretty basic ailment that any physician should be able to treat. It you are not receiving proper medical care from you primary physician you should replace him. This works both ways. My GI will not do basic blood work or urinalysis' for complaints unrelated to my pancreatitis, he says those procedures should be handled by my PCP. I had a sinus infection in February, and tried several OTC sinus remedies without success, but it kept getting worse. My PCP tested me and prescribed a 10 day antibiotic, which cleared it up completely. He told me the OTC medications would relieve the symptoms, but not stop the infection, and that if I hadn't had the antibiotics I could have been in far worse condition. I am sorry to sound so critical of your PCP, but I am, if he won't treat you for the basics, what is he there for? What would he do if you had the flu or a UTI? You need a physician that can look out for your basic health care. I'm sorry that I can't suggest anything that's OTC to help clear this up. Antibiotics are the only thing that work for me.
