Hi Deena,

I started my Actigall at two weeks and I haven't experienced any

problems. I also started my hormones and thyroid at two weeks. I have not

noticed any problems at

all.

Dr.R said the titanium staples are healed over by the body by 5-7 days post-op.

Once the body has healed over there is little or no chance of leaks. I guess a

person could

over extend the new tummy....but even that is unlikely because it would hurt

like hell to get it that full. I think you don't really have anything to worry

about. How many

days post-op are you????? I'm 25 days and eating basically anything I

want....but I'm very selective.

I never did the baby food route. I started with grits sprinkled with

salt....scrambled eggs, tuna with lots of mayo on crackers or toast, salad,

french onion soup,

vegetables,

lots of watermelon with salt and then in week two I added more. Stouffers

Lasagna, pot roast (very tender) with mashed potatoes and low fat brown gravy.

Pea salad is good

and soft also. I prefer my own cooking so I can watch the fat content. I use a

lot of evaporated skim milk when I cook sauces or gravies and in my mashed

potatoes. My

daughter brought home some fried chicken tenders today for lunch but they looked

so greasy that I said thanks but no thanks. I ate my watermelon instead. Now

when I watch

my family eat I catch myself thinking ...how can you eat THAT and how can you

eat THAT MUCH!!!!!

Sometimes I have to turn my attention to something else so they won't make me

nauseous.

Bless their hearts...they are just eating normally and now I'm a food

critic..ha...ha.

Let me know if I can help with anymore questions.....the best advice is

to listen to your own body....and remember every day is better than the last.

You can call me at 817/ 577-0919.

Best Wishes,

Genz
