Guest guest
Dear Elaine, Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. For the first time in years I feel as though I belong somewhere and it is a wonderful feeling. My insurance takes effect this week and I am a little afraid that because I am so new that they might turn me down. Don't want them to think that is the only reason I took their insurance (even though it is,haha) My husband says it shouldn't matter if I am covered 2 years or 2 days I am still covered by this company and if they say no because it is too soon then we will wait and do it again and again until they agree to do it. I am just so impatient and too excited. Thank you for your offer to be my contact, I am writing names down in my notebook. I have decided to keep a journal from beginning to end (size 9),so I will have everything in one place at all times. Am looking forward to more discussions with all of you. I have been reading discussions and responses for so long, that it is like a dream to be a part of them now. Please be praying for me as I start my journey. Thanx, Gwen - Re: Help/Welcome! Dear Gwen, Where in south GA do you live? I am a recently transplanted Atlanta resident who moved from IL 3/1 to be close to my daughter and grandkids after I lost my job in IL. The job loss has delayed my having the MGB, due to finances and Cobra insurance issues. Now, also, I have to find a supportive dr. to follow up on me after surgery. It sounds like you're taking the right steps, reading the manual and the list. There's lots of good info on this list; I don't post much but read every day. I also have been over 200 for more than 20 yr. and 300 for the last year or so. I'm 52, 5'7 " , BMI 48. Please email me privately if you want to chat. Good luck in your pursuit of the MGB. Hopefully, we'll all get to the othe side soon. P. in GA LORI Dear Lori: Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. I bet you'll do great!! I will be thinking of you and you will be in my prayers. I would come to see you but I will be in Southern Pines tomorrow because I have to teach a summer school class tomorrow night. Yes, I am going back to work in less than a week post-op!! What time are you scheduled? Best Wishes / e
