Thanks my Panc Pals,

I am muddling through right now trying to stay focused. My brother

is on occasional bp meds so since I had taken the same kind b4 I am

using his to keep my pressure normal. I have some adivan a friend

gave me so the shakes are not so bad. I went to the GI Dr's office

today and Dr. Brenner had not written the note I needed for court nor

for any prescriptions. Instead he left a note with the office manager

stating that if my bill was paid in full he would consider giving me

my bp meds and possibly something for withdrawals. He also stated

that if I was having withdrawals I needed to go to the ER and it

wasn't his problem as I was the one requesting such large doses of

demerol every three hours. Last time I checked...a patient doesn't

have the legal capability to write their own pain medicine

schedules...

I'm trying to stay busy and getting packed is helping my mental and

emotional state. Just one week from tomorrow I will be in MN.

Ironically, this tropical storm Isidore is expected to become a

hurricane and hit my area early thursday morning...Guess where I will

be evacuated to????? EAST JEFFERSON HOSPITAL!!! My brother is a

paramedic there and immediate family are to evacuate there for all

personnel on duty. Stroke of luck that I'll be where I'll get

treatment whether the Dr likes it or not.
