Guest guest
Welcome to the group Terri, > Hi, > I have a TON of questions for you all but I'll start with this one: > I began SCD last week. I am nursing my 10 month old and started it > for her (though I'm realizing now that I needed it too.) She has just > really started eating solids. What do you all recommend I start her > with? So far it's been bananas, cooked pears, cooked squash, cooked > peaches. Are the bananas ripe (yellow with brown/black spots/freckles)? > She is constipated and showing real signs of die off. > Any suggestions? Is she normally constipated? Some go through it temporarily when they begin the diet. Some find epsom salt baths help with die off symptoms. How about adding in some stewed prunes. Start with a little because it can be explosive. > Oh, and she's HUNGRY! She wants something more. She can have more of what your are already giving her. Has she tried any meats yet? You can cook up chicken (simmered in water) and puree the it in cooking broth. Being very hungry is pretty normal when starting the diet - it takes extra energy to heal the body and the energy comes in the form of food.
