You are right, Flo, she will see the process for what it really is. That is a good thing. One of the good things for me about waiting what seemed like forever for my surgery, (5 months) I got to go through my highs and lows. There WERE times when I would read something on the list, and think, I don't want to do this anymore. That is why I think this list is SO important. It GIVES you the time to really ride the roller coaster to the point where the individual really understands the risks and knows what he or she is willing to do. When I began researching this a year of two a go, I was on the OSSG list and people were dying right and left. That was enough for me. I did find Dr.R at that time, but he had only done about 80 surgeries and that wasn't enough for me. I decided, that the risks of WLS were too great, and I wasn't willing to do it at that time. SO when I did continue on my journey it brought me back to Dr R and he had done many more surgeries by then and I was ready this time. We each have our own journey and you are so sweet to be accompanying Drema on hers, but let it be her journey. Safe journey, MGB 03 MAY 00 Safely on the other side!!!!
