Hi ,

I take Vitamin B3 in the form of niacinamide. (Niacin, as you know,

causes flushing. Niacinamide does not cause flushing.) I take about

500 mg daily (sometimes I take 250 mg if I feel like it). It has

helped my skin immensely.

If you do decide to take it, let us know if it works out well for you.

Take care,

Matija

Adam,

In my opinion, the Tagamet is the most effective parts of the regime.

I don't use the aspirin anymore. When I forget to take the Tagamet,

my cheeks are a bright red and feel like they're burning. I don't

know what an oral H2 suppressor has to do with rosacea (maybe Dr.

Marjorie or Dr. Sy would know?), but it really helps reduce flaring.

Hope that helps!

Matija,

Do you ever use the generic version of Tagamet

(cimetidine 200 mg)? Is there a difference in terms

of effectiveness of generics vs. brand names? The

generic is considerably lower in price. Do you still

use the Chlor-Trimeton 4 mg (4 hour) at bed time?

Have you ever tried that generic? Michele

Do you use this regime yourself? If so, does it work for you too?

Hi Matija,

Yes I've been using this regime, and I feel it works.

I also eliminated caffeine--my favorite drink WAS Diet

Coke--now it's cold H2O. After quitting the Diet

Coke, I drank a can at work and noticed I was flushing

shortly after. Otherwise, the only other flush

" buttons " for me *seem* to be heat and stress and of

course spicey foods. Still trying to figure it all

out! Take care - Michele

Matija

I hope you do not mind me directing a question to you personally.

You mentionned that stress is a problem. I wonder if you also suffer from edema

during periods of even mild stress or mild anxiety even though the skin may be

still pale in color?

During extreme stress my face burns, turns fiery red and obviously has extreme

accompanying edema.

I would be inteested to hear if even mild stress is an edema trigger

Thanks kindly
