Hi Great step! There are about 12 steps to the whole process. If you

can, print out the Patient Manual and alot of your answers are there.

Your first visit will probably be at clinic right before your surgery.

However, if you call him, he will be glad to chat with you.

> Dear Tuketa,

My name is Dena Lawton. I am a pre op patient and will bw having my surgery,

July 19. Welcome to the best lil support group on the net.

Here is how it has worked for me.

May 18th I tripped over this sight doing research for a friend. I got very

excited because the sight had so much information. My friend lost interest

but not me. At 52 years old and 350 pounds, I was ready.

The first thing you do is fill out the patient info form on the net . Follow

directions then email it in. Start getting yourpacket together for Dr. Rs

office. every thing must go together. Once they receive the packet and it

is reviewd you can get a surgery date. I sent mine in on June 8 and was

scheduled for July 19 by the 13 of June. It would have been sooner , but

Dr. R went on vacation from June 12 through July 9. I too am self pay.

Since we are way out of town people. We would go to a clinic just prior to

surgery. I go 9am on the 18th and have surgery on the 19th. I am coming

from the Upper peninsula og Michigan. Of course ,if you want to travel to

NC for an appointment, I am sure thats an available option. Check the web

sight closer. All this info is detailed on it.
