Hi Everyone!

I have really missed you all, I have become somewhat of a lurker since the

surgery. I have to say that the countless hours I have spent on the computer

in the past are now being used to go to the gym, and swimming mostly. I am

trying to build muscle in hopes that I will not be too flabby when the weight

comes off. (Rexanne, Queen of Tampa, you look great. You mentioned oils?

Please clue me in!) Plus, it's summer, trying to get a nice tan on this very,

very white skin. So, here is the update. At one month, I have lost a total

of 36 lbs. I started at 298 on 6-1-00, was 289 on 6-6-00, 269 on 6-15-00,

264 on 6-23-00, and 262 on 6-31-00. I break it down like this because after

a tremendous loss in the beginning, it seems I have slowed *considerably*,

only 2 pounds in the last week. I am hoping this is only temporary. Another

weird change for me, if you all remember, I was eating a variety of different

foods after 2 weeks. This has stopped, I am finding that things I could

tolerate at 2 weeks are now not good. Rice was a big one, I thought I was

going to lose it after 3 bites, which could not have filled up my new

stomach. I find I am back to the soft food thing mostly. Is this normal?

And do you think there is any correlation between that and my suddenly

slowing weight loss? As far as health improvements, I have had no incidences

of stress incontinence, but other than that everything still seems the same

(BP slightly elevated, some shortness of breath when running up stairs). My

clothes feel looser, but no one has really noticed my weight loss. It isn't

as dramatic as 36 pounds would sound. I do have an increase of energy. I

did find that my muscles were *really* hurting after a slight workout, I mean

really bad, and for a few days. I went and got some potassium, and I am

taking 1 a day in addition to the multivitamin (99mg) and that has seemed to

help. I also try and eat a banana when I am sore, which is a chore since I

am not a real big banana fan. (and I HATE orange juice, so that's out, LOL).

So, that's my big update. It's nice to hear that all my littermates are

doing well too. Am I gonna see you on the cruise? You're a crazy bunch of

gals!!! And I miss you all so much.
