It used to be when I drank beer, I would turn bright red. Now though,

after I have a few drinks I am actually quite pale. This is about the

only time I look normal, the rest I have general redness and blotchy

areas where its darker than others.

For me, if I can understand this, I wonder if solve the mystery. I

thought it may have been because of the cool drinks, but my face is pale

for hours after I drink. Any ideas ? This disease is just so

frustrating and I can never get anywhere with it, even after a dozen

photoderms and doing everything Dr. Nase says.

Same thing happens to me with alcohol use. First few bring on a flushy rash

but after a few more, it goes and I'm flush free and can be me!!! hooray.

Also, its better if I drink the first few quickly, so not to give the flush

much time before I reach the flush free limit.

Yes, why is this? Very interesting. I don't think its nerves related as

this would happen at home if I was drinking alone and completely not feeling

nervous and also with the heating off.

If this could be investigated further by the docs maybe a cure for flushing

could be found (other than alcohol coz you don't want to turn into an

alcoholic as well as a flusher).

Are you drinking better beer than you used to? I only flush when I

drink cheap wine -- I'm cool as a cucumber with the good stuff...

Best,

Louisa
