Guest guest
I had 5 photoderm last summer and was pleased with the results ,However over the course of the year due to my lifestyle,my redness returned full force.I went in to see another doctor for pulsed dye and he said pulsed dye is the wrong laser for my problemBut that he thought I should do photorejuvenation,With further investigation turns out this is a photoderm l;aser!!!!!!! and he charges $800 per a session over twice as much as the other doctor!!! However he claims he knows all the special settings and that I will have better longer lasting results.Well I am not going to pay double so I am going to go back to the other doctor and just do more sessions hoping to get rid of some of the deeper vessels this time with more sessions. Have any of you had long term lasting results with photoderm?
Guest guest
That is so weird that your doctor said that pulse dye wasn't for your problem. I have had 11 photoderm treatments with no results really. Maybe a little with the redness but I flush and flare worse than ever. I am going for pulse dye May 1st at Duke University. The doctor there has even tested out photoderm and says that there is no comparison between photoderm and pulse dye. He says that pulse dye is a lot better. He is one of the top 10 laser specialist in the US. I also have a friend that has had 30 photoderm treatments and she kept getting worse. She finally went for pulse dye and got 60% improvement with one treatment. She is now going back for another treatment. The doctor she goes to also uses the photoderm and pulse dye and he says that pulse dye is sooooooo much better for rosacea than photoderm. My friend is so much happier now. She has gone back to work too. She keeps telling me not to change my mind about pulse dye, to please get it done. Keep us updated on what u decide to do.
