Debbie, Your daughter is more than welcome to e-mail my daughter or call her

and talk to her about her experience with the surgery. She might be able to

help her out as in what to say when people start asking her what she did to

lose so much weight. She did tell a few of her close friends and was not to

worried about what the kids at school had to say about her having the MGB. I

guess the way she figured it was she had been through so much torture in

school being 350 and 5'5 that her losing weight and the kids knowing she had

weight loss surgery could not be as bad as when she was 350 pounds. She is

now gone from 350 down to 250 in 6 months. She still has a long way to go but

she is feeling much healthier as each day passes. She tells everyone about

the MGB who asks. I guess she figures if she can help one overweight person

who has lived with the discrimination she has in her 16 years being

overweight it is worth telling her secret. From one mother to another I think

this is a wonderful thing you are doing for her. If my insurance made me

chose only one of us to have this surgery I would have had to chosen her. She

has her whole life to life and I don't want her to have to live the next 16

years like she has had to live the last 16 years. I am not going to say the

last 6 months have been easy for her being post op but she is starting to get

the hang of it. Best of luck to the both of you. Liz
