Re: Got the Cigna letter today

Hi friends,

So I had this scary thought that maybe I was dreaming or Cigna was pulling my

leg or had changed their mind, or had gotten the request for MY surgery

already and was bailing while they still could, but then today (to my relief)

I got the official confirmation, in the form of a certified letter, stating

that they were INDEED letting us go out of network for the MGB for Chris.

Don't know what the percentages are, but it doesn't matter. I can breathe

easier and go forward with my full-out attempt to get the surgery approved

for myself so we can have it at the same time. Liz and Autumn have given us

courage! No need to write your congrats again-- just wanted to let you hear

my huge sigh of relief! Whew! To the rest of you still fighting, I am

continuing to pray for you--don't give up!

Thanks Kris! I'm not sure about the percentage, but the letter says that Dr

R will be covered as " in network. " I guess I should open up the policy and

see what that means (LOL) but at this point I only care that it is covered!!

the approval from CIGNA in writing. I don't know if yours is the

same but CIGNA coverage out-of-network for me is 60%. Now, good luck
