Guest guest
I went to a fundraiser last year, on Long Island, NY and the entire cast of the Soprano's was there!!! They auctioned off pix and lunch with them. They were very generous...... Rosemary in New York with 3 children with CF - they are 12, 9.11, 6...I coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " ; and now we have a dog named - are you ready for this - TOBI after their medication! Guest guest
Becky, I don't have HBO so I don't get to see Sopranos but I have seen CF as a storyline on ER a few times. Two times were a reoccuring character. Teen boy who's lungs were failing and didn't want them to hook him up to machines or resucatate (sp?) It tore my heart apart but I watched it anyways. It was a great show! Guest guest
Who can forget the wonderful storyline on Law and Order where the parents had to become porn stars in order to help pay for their child with CFs medical bills. I just loved that storyline. Guest guest
Abby went for the first of her seven RSV shots this week. She will get one shot a month for seven months, but we don't really have much choice. The total cost of the RSV shots (just the pharmacy portion) is $21,000. That's right. I didn't accidentally add too many zero's. Toni, Abby's mom looked like she might vomit or cry when they told her the price. It is a good thing that Abby has insurance. Even without insurance, we'd just have to do it and try not to think about how we were going to pay for it. Guest guest
i CAUGHT THE cf reference on the Sopranos and thought it was neat, any way we can get the word out in to the public awareness. Also has been a story line on ER a few times. Re: Sopranos Becky, I don't have HBO so I don't get to see Sopranos but I have seen CF as a storyline on ER a few times.
