Guest guest
, Have you tried enzymes yet? That may help you to expand her diet. Are you giving her any probiotics? Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
Hello, Have you had any testing done like a complete stool analysis to see if she is digesting the foods she is eating. It will also tell you the good and bad bugs that are in her gut. We did ours and found out that Caden is not digesting fats correctly. There are also conditions in which the opposite happens and the child is not able to break down and use charbohydrates. In my son's case, until we can find out exactly why he does not digest fats, he needs to eat a lot of food with charbohydrates to use for energy since he is not using the fat. And visa versa is you can't break down charbs than you would need increased protein and fat. I would ask the doctor about the test and try to push charbohydrates like juice, pear and zucchuni and see if that helps. mother to Caden 2 3/4 year SCD since 2/05 and Emmalynn 13 months GF > > Hi, > > Before she started SCD, my daughter has a puffy tummy, very slight dark > ring under her eyes, constipation (she goes everyday but her poop is > usually pebby and she has to " work " on it). > > Now, after 60 days on SCD, her tummy got bigger. Guest guest
, The multiflora is not recommended for SCD. Elaine recommended only L. Acidophilus as a supplement. As I remember, her caloric intake wasn't low. Just a little too much protein. Right? Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
Jody, Right. But I calculated wrongly that time. I calculated a cup juice at each meal but actually it is only 2oz juice topped to 8oz with water. I recalculated and realise that she was >200 calories short. Now I try to increase her pear sauce, add 1 tsp olive oil and increase her juice. Doesn't seem healthy to me but I have to get her calories and carb and fat up to try to combat her lethargy. Any other suggestion? I'm so worried that I'm distroying her health in trying to fix her autism and did-not-used-to-be-so-bad constipation issue. > > , > > The multiflora is not recommended for SCD. > > Elaine recommended only L.
