Hello all,

I'm sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Thank you for all the

wishes and prayers on my behalf during the time I was in Minnesota

getting the pancreatectotomy, splenectomy, appendectomy, and re-

section of intestine to my stomach as well as the auto-islet cell

transplantation.

To make a long story short, I had complications and have been ill for

a long time. I spent nine additional days in the hospital here after

the month and week in Minnesota.

They are still trying to find out the cause of the severe pain I am

experiencing as a result of the surgery. Hopefully, it's something

that can be corrected easily.

If anyone wants more information about the surgery please write to

AMSB1986@... and I will try to respond. As it stands we are also

still in a legal battle with our insurance. The surgery was

$126,000.00,so if they maintain their position of denying the

charges, we go to federal court.

Love and prayers to all,

Amy

Amy,

I was just wondering. I am not sure if you are the " Amy " that I am thinking

of, but here is my question. Did you initially have SOD then pancreatitis

from the SOD ? I am wondering if the surgery is not effective in patients

that have the SOD component. Just curious, if you don;t mind me asking.
