30 days of zithromax 600 mg once per day, in cases of rosacea and

inflammatory acne which have not responded or stopped responding to

100 mg Minocin bid or 200 mg generic minocyline bid, would be of

great use in overcoming any resistant bacteria which may be playing a

role in the inflammatory pustules.

This month long high dose zithromax should be reserved for cases not

responding to minocycline and should be limited to 30 days in order

to prevent emergin resistance.

The only coherant explanation for antibiotics which once worked, not

working anymore, besides a significant increase in disease severity

is emerging bacterial resistance. This regimen wipes out minocycline

resistant bacteria and the short term prevents zithromax resistant

bacteria from developing.
