Guest guest
what does grape seed extract do? You can eat grapes while taking minocycline. I always eat the seedless ones, though. > > In a message dated 5/12/02 9:10:09 PM, iblanki@y... writes: > > < antibiotics? any weird interactions that might go on? i'm actually > taking minocycline (i was too concerned about the sunsensitivy with > doxy so my derm switched me to minocycline instead) now but am > considering grape seed extract as a supplement as well. >> > > when i started on tetracycline almost a month ago > i asked the pharmacist who filled the prescription > i know you're taking a different kind of antibiotic > but > if you don't take supplements at the same time > ie wait until the antibiotic has been fully absorbed > (or vice versa) before taking the other > it should be okay > > anyone out there know different? > > stacey

Guest guest
I take a calcium supplement that also contains magnesium and zinc. I read that you should wait 2 hours after the antibiotic to take the zinc. I've also read that you should wait 2 hours after the Allegra to take the calcium. I don't know if it's ok to take the antibiotic and the Allegra together or with any other supplements. antibiotics and supplements > Does anyone know if it's safe to take supplements along with > antibiotics? any weird interactions that might go on? i'm actually > taking minocycline (i was too concerned about the sunsensitivy with > doxy so my derm switched me to minocycline instead) now but am > considering grape seed extract as a supplement as well. > > > > -- > Please read the list highlights before posting to the whole group (http://rosacea.ii.net/toc.html). Guest guest
I believe grapeseed extract is supposed to reduce facial redness since it acts as a natural antihistamine. I take 100 mg of Source Naturals Proanthodyn -- Grapeseed Extract -- daily. When I don't take it, I notice a slight pinkness in my skin. This is something that Dr. Nase recommended to take along with Vitamin C in an Ester C formula. I take about 500 mg of Ester C daily. Hope that helps! Guest guest
grape seed extract is also supposed to help strenghten the capillaries. > > > > > > In a message dated 5/12/02 9:10:09 PM, iblanki@y... writes: > > > > > > < > > antibiotics? any weird interactions that might go on? i'm > actually > > > taking minocycline (i was too concerned about the sunsensitivy > with > > > doxy so my derm switched me to minocycline instead) now but am > > > considering grape seed extract as a supplement as well. >> > > > > > > when i started on tetracycline almost a month ago > > > i asked the pharmacist who filled the prescription > > > i know you're taking a different kind of antibiotic > > > but > > > if you don't take supplements at the same time > > > ie wait until the antibiotic has been fully absorbed > > > (or vice versa) before taking the other > > > it should be okay > > > > > > anyone out there know different? > > > > > > stacey
