Hi Rory,

You know, I never received any emails from you. I wonder what

happened. Please don't think I ignored you. I would have been glad to

post this information for you because I remember posting about

Cutanix a few months ago after I read about it on the bfs board. Dr.

Sy's ZincO was tested by people in our group and that has worked

wonders for many of us. It hasn't been tested like a drug.

However, I'm glad you had Adam post the information on this, and it's

great that this product works wonders for you. Did you happen to get

the all the ingredients of this product by chance? Thank you so much

for following up on this. I feel bad because you live all the way in

Ireland and I live 40 miles away from the Cutanix company in Santa

Clara, California. I could drive there. Anyway, don't hesitate to

contact me personally if you have anymore information like this. If I

don't answer, please page me at the board.

Take care,

Matija

Rory, I appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to share your

personal experiences with others.

Still in my inquisitive mode , could you clarify the relationships

among Dr. Fuller, the University of Illinois, the Melanx Company, and

the Cutanix Company? I ask because it's hard to believe that a

university researcher would send his discovery to a commercial

company " for testing. " (If anything, it's the other way around.) I

would assume that Dr. Fuller is either under contract with Cutanix,

or sold his discovery to Cutanix. I assume he had/has a similiar

relationship with Melanx as with Cutanix, both of which appear to be

small, privately held, for-profit companies, presumably unrelated to

one other. But I'm just assuming -- I don't know how these things

work in a university setting. Can you clarify this?

Issues of efficacy aside, safety is a concern. I took away from

reading the press release that this product's anti-inflammatory

properties are similar to steroids, but safer. How does anyone know

this? Even with the best of intentions, safety can be subtle. For

example, topical steroids were originally thought to be far safer

than oral steroids, until problems with chronic use became evident

(as some on this board can attest).

Thanks.

I agree with you completely, Rory. Although I haven't taken a close

at those studies -- who funded them and whether they are well

designed/executed -- I would have identical concerns.

> None of us know what

> they may discover about these ten years down the road.

True. But I draw a distinction between what we can expect from a

study, and what we can expect from a product. I try not to confuse

the two (which is hard, in threads like this). One would think they

are related -- and usually there are, but not inevitably.

> But we

> are desperate people with a desperate condition

Whether true or not, desperation is no reason to victimize ourselves.

Do you know what I mean?

That's your choice, that's all our choices. My point is this: the

more accurate information we have available to make an informed

decision at any point in time, the better off we are. We're never

going to have unlimited, totally accurate information -- but I don't

believe that means we should just accept poor research or veiled

marketing without question, or throw our hands up entirely because

this stuff is intimidating or difficult to appreciate at first scan.
