How DO you resist all that yummy smelling popcorn!! >> If you're beyond three months post-op, have a couple of kernals of the stuff. It isn't going to taste the same...and you certainly wouldn't want to eat it prior to having your tummy fully recovered from the surgery. Like a lot of the old " trigger " foods from before the MGB, popcorn is another one of those things that fades in importance once you have a kernel or two or a bite of it. As Dr. R says: it does about as much for you as rubbing it on your forearm. It sounds unbelievable, but for me, it's been true: the old " trigger " foods just don't appeal to me any more.
