Dear Ann,

Just when I think that I am down in the dumps and can't come

back up again I read a story like yours!...Bless your heart, darlin'.

Especially having a divorce and an upcoming marriage of your ex at

hand. I will hold my torch high and help light your way with my

prayers. The surgery's main function is to help us become more

healthy, but won't it be ironic when you have lost all the weight and

you see your ex again and he says, " Wow! You look wonderful! " I hope

your weight issues are not a reason that he is leaving but if it is

then, 'shame on him!'.

I will try and get a rush on mine too...but I still think my

surgery won't be until July. God has his own time in working things

out. (Then he tells Dr. R...LOL)

Take care, and keep me up on your progress,

Love,

As part of the terms of your dissolution you can make certain he carries you

on the insurance until the end. Contact your lawyer now, so that you won't

be coming up against an August deadline. You may not need it, but if you do

it sure would be nice to have it. Don't think it was necessarily his

procrastination. His attorney may have suggested he might be liable for

your medical bills until the marriage was dissolved. Depends on the

state....

Thanks for the extra prayers. My weight was not a direct reason for

my husband leaving. He did the old mid-life crisis thing and had an

affair. Their affair broke up two families and he is marrying her

in August. I am a true believer in the adage 'That which doesn't

kill you makes you stronger'. After two years of dealing with it, I

say good riddance. It has taken me a long time to get to this

point, but I honestly don't care that they are marrying. I am

focused on my kids and myself, and improving myself for a better life

for us. Until recently, I had assumed that he had already dropped me

from his insurance. As a procrastinator, he just hasn't done it

yet. So, if need be, I will take advantage of it.

Be good and take care of yourself. I expect to have a July surgery

date too, just don't see me getting a date by the end of next week.

We could still be littermates!!
