Totally hairball question but - have you ever heard of this?

My massage therapist told me about a 4 day seminar she attended that taught

the therapists how to do a lymph system massage. The massage is supposed to

free up the fluids from inside the lymph system so the body can pass them.

Something to look into?

What is rosacea edema? I've never heard of it. However, I do know about

lymphatic drainage massage. My mother-in-law got lymphedema after her

breast was removed. She visited a therapist (who was trained in lymphatic

drainage massage) for treatment. This really helped the swelling in her

body. Your shoulders are massaged first to stimulate the lymph glands to

open the ports so that the lymph can drain into your system. The body is

divided into two portions - upper and lower. Massage is a very light touch

towards the neck on the upper body and towards the groin on the lower body.

She received limited insurance benefits for the treatment. My husband, who

has rheumatoid arthritis, also received the massage treatments with varying

success. It seemed to eliminate swelling in certain joints; however, at

times it made it worse. His doctor advised against it for his arthritis.
