Hello! We just started not too long ago on the diet. I

made the homemade sausage recipe today that I took off

this list and my family loves it! We have 4 lbs of it

in our freezer too! I was wondering though if a cough

ever went with the symptoms when beginning the diet?

Also my son's rages seems to be some worse in the past

two days but he's also been having some greeen, really

bad smelling poop several times a day as well, is that

normal? Sorry to be gross! Also is it possible to

maybe lose some weight on the diet? My mother was

thinking about starting it and doing it with my family

just to try and lose some weight since it cuts out

sugars/starches/etc. Thanks!

Dori

1/2 family scd

2 kids on for 1 week

rest of family on for 2 days

Die-off can present in many ways. One being green Bm, Fatigue,

lethragy, nausea, vomiting, tantrums and many more. Everyone is

different.

>Also is it possible to maybe lose some weight on the diet?

SCD is NOT a weight loss diet but....it is a wegith regulating

diet. Which means that people who before SCD are very thin due to

not getting enough nutrients will gain weight as the gut heals

And People who were overweight will begin to loose weight as certain

craving (most of which are not SCD legal) and theri guts heal. many

parents have reported that the lost weight while doing SCD with

their kids especially if they were nut free.

Hope this helps!!

Hi Dori,

My entire family went SCD 25 days ago....My one daughter also had a suspicious

cough during die off....maybe it was (interesting that it happened to you

to).....we all had very interesting poops too....as for weight my husband's

" beer gut " (even thought he doesn't drink alcohol of any kind) disappeared and

his pants are now falling off, he claims that his concentration is better....I

am too thin...and have gained 2-3 pounds! My daughter KiKI is looking

better...I think she has gained weight...and my daughter Xena's " baby fat " or

what we now know was a bloated tummy disappeared! There you are.....much in

common with everybody. We also had rage attacks during die off....especialy our

son . It gets better...yet we are still hanging in there with all of

you...some days are better than others....yet improvement is undeniable...KIKI

(22 month old ASD/no speech delayed and other delays) talking for the first time

in her life, becoming more assertive, and her delirium " night terror " like

seizures are almost gone (use to have 1-3 a night!). Yesterday she even wanted

to even pick out what she wants to wear in the morning for the first time! Good

LUCK!
