Guest guest
I agree with Gale. Counseling is something to make room for. I have gone. Its so great to talk to someone who can't tell anyone or judge you. We have so many feelings and so many times I stop myself from sharing with friends because I am afraid of making them feel bad - that their child is healthy, etc. Its a safe environment where you can verbalize feelings and thoughts that many people don't want to hear or are AFRAID TO HEAR! Once I got stuff off my chest I felt better and stopped going. Its great. Talking about YOU and only YOU for one hour......... Rosemary in New York with 3 children with CF - they are 12, 9.11, 6...I coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " ; and now we have a dog named - are you ready for this - TOBI after their medication! Guest guest
No one should feel bad about going for counselling. It is actually a very good thing to do. The difficulty, is fitting it into your hectic schedules. If it allows you to feel a little less emotionally burdened, it is worth every cent and every minute that you invest in it. I'm sure that many of you feel like you already have too many " commitments & appointments " , without adding time for counseling. I wish that there was an easy way for everyone to fit this into the schedules. Take care of yourselves or who will take care of our children.
