Sometimes Vit A, E, and C are used as perservatives, esp if they are

in the last few ingredients on the list.

Retinyl palmitate and retinol are not the same molecularly, though

both are mild exfoliants. I belive retinol is a bit stronger

depending on where is it on the list of ingredients.

As you know, Retin A is the strongest form of Vit A, and is ten times

stronger than Retinol (dermadoctor.com article on Retin A)
