Guest guest
For some of you, Joni needs no introduction as you have worked with her on our Research Track development for several years. For others, I'd like to introduce you to her as the former NCFH staff person who put together the first Research Track at the Midwestern Stream Forum in San about 4 years ago, I believe it was 1998 or 1999. Out of that Forum came the idea of forming a " list serv " when that was the techonology available to us. It took us a while to get it together, and fortunately Egroups had emerged in the meantime with this technology which was much more " user friendly " , subsequently bought out by , we continue to use their services. I find this egroup to be an incredibly important open forum for discussion on migrant health research issues, and congratulate you for your roles in the dialog. Joni continues to work with NCFH on a contractual basis, and has agreed to take on the role of Moderator. As Moderator Joni will be responsible for making sure that we here at NCFH in Austin acquire each of the publications that are referenced in the egroup dialog, and for informing participants of materials that are available at NCFH when appropriate. She will assist us in analysis of the types of transactions that are taking place on the Research Egroup, and will be a participant as well. Ismael Rangel on our staff will continue to subscribe new members as well as unsubscriptions and will also handle technical complications which crop up from time to time. Please do not hesitate to contact either of them directly if you need any assistance. I hope you are all signed on with for an account number and know that you can search the archives of prior messages by subject heading. We do appreciate it if you would unsubscribe when you plan to be out of the office for an extended time, especially essential if you place an auto response on your personal email system. Joni can be reached at <Berardino@...> Ismael can be reached at <Rangel@...> Again, thank you for your involvement.
