Grandma Maggs,

Working with a sick child is sometimes impossible. I remember when I was working

and was coughing up blood. I was so emotional all someone had to do was

ask me " are you okay?' and the dam would burst! My managers were sympathetic to

a point, but wouldn't make eye contact because they were afraid that I would ask

to go home. It just wasn't worth it. I have ton's of respect for those of you

that manage both work and CF.

Re: Are You Ready for This

I am sure if people in the UK were shown the cost of their hospital stays and

their Doctors visits by a " bill " they would greatly appreciate our NHS as bad as

it can be sometimes.

,

My daughter also finds it more economical not to work when she has a child

with cf. She wouldn't be able to get a job anyway because of all the time she

would have to have off when Shelby is sick.

Grandma Bev, Here is the UK we don't have any holidays around this time of

the year. The government keep promising us one but can't make up their minds who

or what we should be celebrating around this time LOL.

Love and happiness (and health I hope) to all
