Hi all,

Thanks for the prayers!! I'm back from my breast ultrasound (after something

showed up on my mammogram last week). Apparently, I am fine! I have a spot

that the doctor says is benign. She says I should come back in six months to

have it checked again, but she says I am fine. I am very relieved! Tomorrow I

go for my Pap. So now I will pray that that will be fine, and that my

insurance will approve me. I can't wait until all this is done and I can just

get a date and have the MGB!

Hi Trish,

No, I haven't been to a clinic yet. I won't get to go until a day ot two

before my surgery, I guess. I live in Tennessee. I sent a link to a

picture of me and my family a while ago when I was first starting to post

on the list. We have six children. I'm 42. Here's the link again to our

pic. It isn't very good, it's all fuzzy because I messed it up when I used

another program to convert it and put it on the net, but you can get an

idea of what I look like from it. It was taken in December.

Hi Marie,

Thank you so much for saying that! I am pretty big, though. That's why I

always like to get a child to sit on my lap in pictures : )! I am five

four and a half, and I weigh 250 on a good day. So my BMI is between 42

and 43. I have bad joint pain, tailbone pain, high cholesterol, and a

hiatal hernia, among other weight related problems. I have been steadily

gaining weight for years despite my best efforts (dieting, exercising,

dieting again, dieting yet again, etc. etc. etc....), so I keep inching up

higher on that BMI chart. I've got to have the MGB before I get bigger and

my ankles, knees, and hips collapse, before I have a major heart attack,

and before my reflux burns a hole through my esophagus! (Sorry if I'm

being too dramatic, but I have a degree in Theatre, and I act

occassionally, so I can't help it, LOL).

LOL! Thanks! I'm there, right behind my son, Chris. I always hide as much as
