Guest guest
THAT is too funny..Noises like that do the same thing to one of my daughters. When we camped so much when they were all younger , Patti used to always want to sleep with one of her sisters .she said the crickets, whatever were going to come into our trailer. Your saying that brought back a whole lot of fun (for the rest of us) memories. She is still kidded about that to day, even by her 3 sons (14, 18, 19yrs old).....But she loved all else in camping .hahahehe have a great week with that precious family!! LOVE & HUGS, GRDMBEV HP & Chamber of Secrets Well, this post is completely un-CF related, but what the hey! I'm after some input from people who've seen " Chamber of Secrets " . I have given Sian a provisional - " You can go see the movie after you finish reading the book " . At the ripe old age of 6, she's half way through chapter seven. (She reads it when she's doing her nebs). Anyway, any opinions on whether it's too dark for a highly imaginative six year old? Much love, - Mum to Cate 10yrs wocf and Sian 6yrs wcf, asthma, GERD and ADD? Canberra Australia-

Guest guest
Bev, I laughed to when the vet told me. I gave him his antibiotics and steroids this morning, inside a piece of chocolate so he took it well. Its x-mas eve here now. The kids are still asleep, but will have to get up soon as they go to my parents when I work. This is the first year in 13 x-mases that I'm not doing x-mas here, its at my sisters. I am so looking forward to not having to do much. I've made all the kiddie type food (sausage rolls, chocolate crackles, honey crackles etc.) Maybe this year I'll have time to brush my hairLoL. Have a lovely x-mas eve BACK FROM HOLIDAYS Hi everyone, Were back from our week at the beach. We picked the perfect time to go. Our state had a heat wave of more than 35c/100f for the time we were away, Where we were it was mild weather. We had a lovely time. I'd like to say relaxing, but I would need to leave the kids at home for that to happen LoL. We swan, made sand castles, went horse riding etc. There was carols by the sea on the last night we were there, so that was nice. It is lovely to be home again though. I'm back at work tomorrow and then the big fella is here. I can't wait till x-mas. I know I've been a good girl so I better get something good!!! took Eilish to the local casualty dept. (every holiday she ends up in one. Were going to write a book about casualty depts. of Australia). He lymph nodes on her right side of her groin were hard and swollen. You could see them when she was standing naked. First thing I think of is Cancer. They checked her feet and said she had a few scraps on them so the infection is coming from there. Then today I had to take the dog to the vet. He was limping and the padding of his right foot and on top near his nails were raw. The vet said he had a small cut, and yep. his lymph nodes were enlarged. He got a needle and Augmentin. Talk about a pigeon pair! Goodnight (Australia)

Guest guest
Thank you so much for sending the info out about schooling and CF to me, much appreiciated. from New Zealand mum to one cute boy who is wrapping mummy and daddy around his finger!!! LIAM REFLUX CURE!!! Well I have found out what the problem was. I stoped the micell A and E and we now have no more silent reflux. I did this for 3 weeks and his feeding gradually improved. Yesterday I reintroduced the micell Vit E and O MY GOD I had one hell of a night. 12:00 at night in the car friving around to get Liam asleep 1:00 am asleep 2:00 am awake wants a feed, starts screaming again, had to try to feed him back to sleep, moved him back to bed, screaming again 3:00 am in bed 4:30 am crying again, wants a feed. Started screaming again, had to try to feed back to sleep 5:45 am in bed again. SOOOOOOOO tired 8:30 am woke again and as the day went on he improved man o man we were shattered and so was Liam, what a night NEVER AGAIN!! no more of that terrible micell Vitamin E I think he is totally allergic to it, it causes major stomach trouble, maybe its heartburn We dont need to use the Zantac anymore either because he dosent even have reflux it was all the vitamins fault!!!!! So now I will have to give Liam noraml vitamin E and A and not the water soluble ones, we will see how that goes. I may be game enough to try another brand of these micell Vitamins but I certinally cannot handle more nights like that terrible night. To make thinkgs worse it was my birthday the day after and we were ment to go out for dinner, like that was gonna happen!!! We went to bed instead. Anyway hope everyone had a great christmas and new year. We stayed at home for new years, first time ever, much changes when you have a baby dosent it??!!!! Life is never the same mum to Liam 4 1/2 months wcf and wife to a wonderful hubby PS. I passed my exams 82.5%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS VERY HAPPY

Guest guest
Bev, Eilish is also so active, even in the clinic she dances and climbs etc. I think you cant have it both ways. You either have a chubbier in active kids or a lean bean who tires you out looking at them. PERFECT CLINIC VISIT EILISH HAD HER CLINIC VISIT TODAY AND IT WAS SO GOOD. AT FIRST I WAS DREADING IT AS I CANT STAND THE AWFUL DR. THAT WE HAD TO SEE AS HER DR. WAS ON HOLIDAY. BUT TO MY SURPRISE SHE WAS OKAY. SHE STILL WAS SOUR BUT FOR HER SHE WASN'T BAD. EILISH HAD TO DO HER VERY FIRST PFT'S . THEY SENT HER UP TO PULMONARY MEDICINE. AT FIRST SHE WAS SCARED WITH THE MACHINE (SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS GOING TO SLEEP). THEY SAID WITH HER WEIGHT AND HEIGHT AND SEEING IT IS HER VERY FIRST TIME THEY WOULD EXPECT HER TO BLOW BETWEEN 70-90, SHE BLEW 122!!!!. I WAS SO PROUD OF HER. THE DR. SAID THAT A NON CF CHILD WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO BLOW THAT. SO OBVIOUSLY HER LUNGS ARE STILL A1. THEN WE WENT TO SEE THE GASTRO. HE SAID SHE WAS A ATHLETIC BUILD WITH GREAT MUSCLE TONE AND WELL COVERED (why does no-one say that about meLoL). HE SAID SHE WAS TALL AND HE FELT THAT WAS HER BUILD AND JUST TO INCREASE HER ENZYMES BY 5 PER DAY AND ADD A FEW MORE CALORIES IN HER MILKSHAKES. SO I WAS PLEASED. AND WE DON'T HAVE TO GO BACK TILL 14TH APRIL. OH YEAH, SHE ALSO HAS TO INCREASE HER FIBRE INTAKE. JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW. I TOLD OTHER FRIENDS (NON CF) AND THEY COULDN'T SEE HOW IMPORTANT IT WAS TO ME FOR HER TO BLOW WELL AND FOR THE DR. TO TELL ME HER WEIGHT WAS FINE (sick of hearing people say she was looking skinny). BUT I KNOW YOU GUYS HAVE OR ARE DOING THIS. JULIE (Australia) Liam 8 wocf & Eilish 5 wcf and the biggest wind bag.

BUT I KNOW YOU GUYS HAVE OR ARE DOING THIS. JULIE (Australia) Liam 8 wocf & Eilish 5 wcf and the biggest wind bag.
Guest guest
I think you have that right .Either way , we'll take 'em & love them to pieces.:).I think it is by allot what they inherit from families too. We do have a lot of tall folks in my family...not all , but many........I know your Elish is a doll . . LOVE & HUGS, GRDMBEV PERFECT CLINIC VISIT EILISH HAD HER CLINIC VISIT TODAY AND IT WAS SO GOOD.
